Christmas Break

Tue Dec 30, 2008, 12:51 PM
  • Mood: Christmas Spirited
So... it's Christmas Break. Semester one is over, semester two looms ahead. I'm happy to be home, with my family and my puppies, and with no school. But I'll be so glad to go home to Arden Hall in 2 weeks, too.

I work in 20 minutes so I don't have much time, but the rundown is basically this:

School=Mostly great
Work=Tolerable
Friends=AMAZING.
Art=suffering/non-existent

I need to make more time to create. I will be. This week. I've got projects. Including, if I can get some time with my mom's camera, more photography. I love winter photography... well, actually, I just love photography in general. And since this year I have a license and a car (usually), maybe I can get some stuff outside of my neighborhood.

I've decided I need to save up and get my own camera... which may take a while since I also need to pay for school. Also, I don't know how to go about choosing a camera. I'm still pretty inexperienced but I want something more than point-'n'-shoot.

So. I dunno. But I have to go to work now. Maybe I'll have an update later.

So, so, so... I think I'm gonna be coming to Northwestern after I graduate. I'm pretty excited. I was talking to one of my buddies who is taking online courses from Northwestern today, and we were scheming about rooming together. :P

I just got a nice new camera! It's a canon, which is my favorite brand, and was only 400 dollars. I love it since it has 20x optical zoom, but it isn't a SLR or DSLR, so no expensive lenses to buy!

So, basically, 98% of people did something. 2% didn't and decided to brag about it by copying and pasting it into their signature.

If you're part of the 2% who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous/pointless, copy and paste this into your signature.

Ooo... that sounds like the kind of camera I'd want for sure.

And so since you're coming to NWC you're going to want to visit the campus, right? And maybe stay in a dorm room overnight, right?

XD RIIIIIGHT. I've visited the campus twice, I think, but never actually stayed. :P

Anyway, the camera is a Canon Powershot SX10 IS. It is WONDERFUL! It has ten megapixels, too, as well as Image Stabilization (A God-send for me since I'm constantly shaking)!

I've officially decided on it for my "saving-up-for" camera.

And I'm itching to do some photography. I put some stuff (that I have up on here) on Facebook so my friends from school could see it. And yeah. I think I will do some shooting tomorrow w/ my mom's Canon SD1000.

And you should DEFINITELY stay overnight at Northwestern. I hear there are a couple of girls in Arden Hall who are really awesome; maybe you could stay with them.

:P Who knows. I'm going to stalk you via facebook, IF that's okay. XD I sent you a buddy request. Don't be scared by my picture.
